national geographic in bulgarian - hip hip hurray!

the first thing i took notice of, was of course the cover - it's YoGa! they won me over. next, the price is absolutely acceptable. perfect, i thought.
positives draw to an end here.
the magazine forum begins by three of the most popular socialists here - the president, the prime minister and the minister of culture (who happens to be a filmstar and an ex sexsymbol - respect). nothing wise, nothing unexpected.
the real reading starts with Ecuador and its forgotten crafts.
then, an indian holy city, which population worships Krishna and believes He walked across those streets, now crowded with people, cows and dogs. don't bother to read the whole article - now you know it all.
we've got news (would cry out Barekov)!! - in the human body there are microbes. the amount of microbial cells is ten times higher than the human ones. the theme is catching, but the author is airy.
"The Secrets of Long Life", which is the coverstory, aren't secrets at all. come on, you know you should have quit smoking a long time ago. it's even written on the packeges.. another thing is that you should love your family, live with purpose that is motivating you and keeping you busy, eat fruits and vegetables,...
sixteen pages are dedicated to King Tut. i went to Egypt this year and i have seen most of the things shown. the guide there couldn't tell me much. neither did this article. all is nothing but guesswork, just shots in the dark.
eighteen pages of photographs of the seabottom. more pictures of wild ocelots..
ok, i confess - the Bollywood article was interesting and perhaps i've finally gained a piece of knowledge. i also lernt how Bulgaria participated in NG throuhgout the years.
i cannot deny one more thing - the photographs. beautiful, adorable, amazing. but is life like that?.. NG is creating a colourful parallel universe, but that is not our world. the pictures are not trustworthy and the whole magazine is not a reliable sorce of information. it is naive and shallow!

besides all, congratulations - we've got NG in bulgarian!

ще допълня само: theory is nothing, practice is everything!
